"After receiving a email from this company stating that there is a problem with my order for the 2 turbos I purchased, I preceded to call them after speaking to the bank and the bank saying they got the money. After several calls, a voicemail which they suggested and a returned email which again they suggested on there recording and a total of 4 hours on hold between all the calls I finally got an actual person...YAY. "After they received the old turbo,they called me and told me that the core was not rebuildable.How do I know that? I am not a mechanic,The people doing the work should know about that sort of thing.Next time I will just buy a used one and have someone else rebuild it."
"Extremely upset about my experience with this company and its products. Overnighted a new turbo for my Subaru legacy from this company. Had it installed by a Subaru certified mechanic. Only to have the turbo fail less then 15miles down the road ! Called company the following business day, explained issue. I was very reasonable with them. "I originally purchased a turbo for my medium duty Isuzu FRR on 10/30. When I first checked out turbochargerpros.com I found a reman turbo with a $300 core charge, the total being around $1300 but decided to call in to place the order so I could ask some additional questions. When I called I was assured that their parts are guaranteed to fit and come with all the necessary hardware to install. He placed the order, but I never received an invoice When my mechanic received the order, it was just the turbo with no accessories. ... read more
"Watch out for the bait and switch. Ordered a rebuilt turbo and 2 days later they notify me they do not have a rebuilt on the shelf. They did offer to sell me a new one for what I already paid on the rebuilt turbo. With the rebuilt one I had a $50 core charge and $12 return shipping label. It saved me $38 from a new one, but then they argued with me about shipping. I had already lost 2 days on the non guaranteed free shipping. I really had no choice at this point and time. Classic BAIT and SWITCH, wrong and illegal."
"terrible experience, this company has cost me so much money, its like a nightmare you cant wake up from. after the first turbo failure they made me pay to ship it back and would not reimburse me, then after it failed again they told me to send it, and then sent it right back and said sorry about your luck it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a three thousand dollar turbo and a fourteen hour install, I guess you will be ok if you get lucky and get a good one, but if you don't your screwed, this company does not stand behind th... read more
"Overall I'm very dissatisfied with turbochargerpros.com. I shipped my turbocharger in mid-December, with the understanding that they would call me with a price for repair once they receive the turbo. I had to call in mid-January because I never heard from them, and was informed that they had shipped my turbo to the repair factory and let it sit there. In hindsight, I'm not even really sure what purpose they served, as I could have easily shipped my turbo to the factory directly and saved money, time, and a few migraines. Ea... read more
"I would not recommend these guy they are friendly but the problem is they don’t back up there parts I had two turbo fail in the matter of three weeks. The second one is the one that did it in the nut came off the turbo and send metal shavings though the intercooler and the intake manifold now I have to spend more money having everything cleaned in hopes that I don’t have to have a motor put in my car and they tell me they only warranty there part but there wouldn’t have been a problem if it wasn’t for their part steer away ... read more
"I never did hear from these folks until I prepared to post the previous TRUTHFUL review. After more baloney then I care to recount, Friday May 6th I was told my refund would be processed. There has still been no refund. Caveat emptor. UPDATE--the refund was finally processed but in processing this review the company denied having done business with me."
