I'm so glad I went to McGehee. I would not be the same without it.
l grew up at this school and I've made the best friends and had the best experience.. miss it so much.
I applied in 4th grade to this school. I had to take a placement test to get in, because it is an ISAS school. Because of my scores, I got in.
The administration is really personal and one on one. All faculty are invested in the students' well beings.
Our teaching staff is great! Every teacher is really engaged and wants to be teaching at McGehee.
There are many clubs at this school that I am involved in. I am in the National Art Honor Society, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Diversity Club, and Mu Alpha Theta. There are also many sports to participate in (I participate in Cross Country and Track), and also an annual play.
McGehee's campus is a collection of historic mansions in the Garden District. Our school is very pretty, but because it is composed of old houses, some facilities are old. For example, our gym isn't very big, and our plumbing has problems some of the time. Our school is very advanced technologically. Parents are also very involved here.
I learned so much about myself in this school.
Our school has an honor code, which the students abide by. Because of this honor code, the faculty are all really supportive and genuinely invested in each student's well being.
