While I’m sure the experience is one of a kind, I question their customer service and business practices.

If you book directly where we have control over service and purchase agreements, where you will receive the 5 star treatment, just like all our other thousands of happy 5 star guests. Beware of third party sellers, their purchase agreements will not always measure up to ours. Aloha!
save your money and time this company is disrespectful and unprofessional. They will probably tell you to schedule a SeaWorld visit if you don't like them jerking you around
We had made advanced reservations for our family of 4 for Friday morning at 9:00 AM. We were staying quite far away from the North Shore, but had driven it on Wednesday for some other activities and to judge the time. Knowing we had to check in at 8:30 AM (for the 9:00 boat) we left our place 1.5 hours early (it had taken us about 50 minutes to drive there before). DO NOT BOOK WITH GROUPON— I emailed this business over a month ago asking about the cancellation policy when booking with Groupon and didn’t get a straight reply. Our Trip was cancelled due to bad weather (it happens). The employee from Hawaii shark encounters that I spoke to told me to contact Groupon for a refund or credit. DID NOT TURN UP. Booked in advance through our travel agent in Australia, paperwork said that our booking was confirmed and to be at the meeting place in Haleiwa harbour on Thursday for 10:30am check in, 11am departure. We arrived before 10am to be sure and found it strange that there was no boat or people at the company sign. This is not a review, this is a warning to those who use Groupon for this event. Since this is a Local Deal, this is NOT refundable after three days of purchase. I suggest you look at the weather before booking, because my event was cancelled twice due to the weather/ocean conditions. I was on vacation so I could not do this another day and Groupon would not refund me. This is nothing against Hawaii Shark Encounters, just a warning for those who use Groupon.
