My family had our first surfing lesson with Sparky and his team in Waikiki. My kids each had their own coach. We were able to stand up surfing on the first wave. My kids were very comfortable with the coaches. They got very brave and independent during the lesson. Everyone had lots of fun and achieved more than what we expected. Highly recommend Sparky if you want to try surfing even with zero experience.
Sparky and Kopo were great with me and my Grandson. We both were able to get up every time. My Grandson now loves surfing and thinks it is the funnest thing. Duke said the best surfer out there is the one having the most fun. Me and my grandson were the best surfers in Waikiki for a few hours thanks to Sparky! 100% recommend!
It was the first surfing experience for our 4 and 6 yr old boys and they had the BEST time. Highly recommend 1:1 instructors bc our kids had individual instruction and support but were still together for the lesson. Both instructors were enthusiastic, confident, and well trained to work with little kids. We paid extra for professional photographs and received almost 70 high quality photos - so worth it! Amazing experience! The whole lesson was about 1 hour and 15 minutes total. Around an hour was spent in the water actually surfing, and only about 10–15 minutes was the instruction on the beach. So most of the time they were really riding the waves! My 9-year-old stood up on the board from the very first try and was absolutely thrilled. Such a fun and unforgettable experience — highly recommend!
This is my second time surfing with Sparky. The first was 12 years ago on my honeymoon and this time was with my six-year-old daughter. She had a phenomenal time and wants to do it again and Sparky and Kapa (spelling?) made her feel so comfortable. An amazing mommy daughter experience!
