Josh was the captain on our afternoon charter. We had a mix of experienced fishermen and a couple of first-timers. Josh was clearly knowledgeable and knew where the fish were biting. We soaked in the fishing insight he shared and as one of the first-timers, appreciated the patience and care he showed! We came back with a lot of fish and we all had a wonderful afternoon!
Went out for our second year with captain hunter on a 6 and 8 hour charter. Definitely a slower salmon year than last year but none the less captain hunter limited us out on kings both days. We also caught limits of halibut and sea bass. With a few cohoe, pink, and chub salmon, pacific cod, and some ling cod that was let go because of not being in the 5” window to keep. JoAnn in the office answered all our questions. Captain Josh was great! Very knowledgeable and knew where the fish would bite. We were catching them so fast my daughter became a temporary helper. She had a blast. I'm so glad we chose to take this fishing charter. I highly recommend Oasis Alaska Charters.
Joshua was our guide and put us on good fish. Considering the short trip 4 hrs he far exceeded our expectations. I am already planning to return for a longer fishing trip. The whales and Bald Eagle were an added bonus.
We had an amazing day fishing with Captain Joshua (J.C.). He was knowledgeable, kind, and worked really hard to ensure we all caught fish. We loved having the boat to ourselves. We were hesitant to book a fishing excursion through DCL and I am so glad we went direct with Oasis. It was a much more relaxed environment vs group charters we’ve done in the past.
