great service, friendly team, delicious food
We had dinner with our Aunt and Uncle at The Iron Skillet. Amazing!!! The atmosphere was beautiful (evening dinner) and the service and food were superb. The fried chicken was to die for!!! We'll definitely be back!
We just left the Iron Skillet after celebrating another anniversary. The anniversary party has grown from 4 to 17 members and the very youngest gets excited when we say it is time to go again. The in laws we have gathered along the way look forward to it as much as the children. The food is exceptional and the service is grand. This is a great family restaurant. The meal is served family style and I can highly recommend the fried chicken. Our special family celebrations have often been held at the Iron Skillet since I was a child. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I have eaten at The Iron Skillet in Indianapolis for many years and have found it to be exceptional, not only in food but service as well. The employees treat the customers with respect and are very efficient in what they do. The food is prepared perfectly and there is plenty of it. We have never had a "bad" dish of anything. We get the following dishes -- either fish, chicken or shrimp or the combo plate. Any way they fix it, it is delicious. Makes youwant to come back for more.
Famous for fried chicken Family style country cookin' is what you will find at this long-standing establishment. A dinner includes your choice of meat (highly recommend the fried chicken) along with several sides including mashed potatoes, vegetables, beets, cottage cheese, etc. Everything is served family style so it's a great place to take a large group. Also an excellent spot for a rehearsal dinner or other family event.
