Earlier this month, my 97 year old Mother was nearing the end of her life and had a Mother’s ring that I wanted to bury with her. It was missing one stone and I wanted to get it replaced in order to honor her. The ladies that I worked with at this store were so kind and understanding. I was genuinely surprised by the experience of being denied entry over a “no hat” policy. While I understand that businesses can set their own rules, enforcing something this arbitrary, especially without a clear explanation felt unnecessarily rigid and frankly unwelcoming. “They simply said have a nice day” When shopping for jewelry, customer experience and hospitality should matter just as much as the products on display.
