I am so happy that I found Bellevue Vision Clinic and Dr. Clayton, because after a few years and two different eye clinics' multiple attempts to fit me with contact lenses, I have finally gotten some good contacts! The whole staff there were great to work with, and I will happily remain a client of this Clinic going forward.
Update: I’ll start by reiterating how happy I am to have found Dr. Clayton! They remade my glasses but something still wasn’t right. Lisa and I figured I was in the small percentage who could not wear progressive lenses, so she remade them into a standard bifocal, but again they were uncomfortable to use. Excellent care as always. We've been going to Bellevue Vision Clinic for over a decade and always appreciated the care and service we have received. The Woodinville location is particularly convenient for us from Kirkland.
I did not like deceptive post-visit emails. They had this subject "Reminder: Follow up to your appointment at Bellevue Vision Clinic" but when you open the email, it is asking for you to provide a review on Google.
Dr. Clayton was excellent; however, there was an issue with billing. Before the appointment, I was clearly told that my insurance was accepted. After the examination was completed, I was informed that the provider is in-network only for eye emergencies, not for routine checkups. As a result, I was charged 80% of the cost and had to pay $256 out of pocket for a simple routine checkup, which has always been fully covered for me for many years at other locations. Please be aware of this issue.
