I went to their downtown location off of Jasper Avenue in that area and I was looking for German World War II items. Bought 2 - 1oz bars of gold.......paid going price. When I went to sell them in a diff. province- got 3/4 of value as it was not what you would buy from Royal Canadian Mint- it was junk Gold, bent very easily. DO NOT BUY any gold from Becks that is not in a recognized package from RCM or Pamaps etc. When I asked why the gold was in a plastic bag, the anwer was 'this is how we bought it'. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I brought my girlfriend’s gold and silver earrings to Beck Gold to get them evaluated, and the experience was excellent. The staff were super nice, super friendly, and incredibly honest — they actually recommended we hang on to the earrings because they’ll be worth a lot more in a few years. That kind of honesty is rare. I highly recommend going here if you have any questions or concerns about what you’re selling. They truly have your best interest in mind.
Unfortunately I’ve had 2 separate incidents with Becks. The first time I brought a vintage chronograph watch in for a full service and after waiting a month I came to pick it up and found that their “watchmaker” installed the bezel totally misaligned to the watch, which is the most important part of a chronograph. The second was browsing there watch selection. I found a nice longines they wanted $400 for. Upon closer inspection I could tell the watch was completely fake. Watch collectors beware.
My ring was a 7 1/2 and was told they were bringing it down to a 5 1/2 I waited four days they called me told me it was ready…. 😃 paid in full … but yeah it’s still so baggy and just constantly spinning around my ring finger I called them and they suggested to put something on my ring so it wouldn’t move instead of fixing it and making it the right size it should be.
